Here is, in plain terms, what happens to the personal information you leave on nie-tenerife.com. It follows Regulation (EU) 2016/679, better known as the GDPR, and Spain’s own data-protection act.
The details we keep
- From the forms: the name and email you type, plus whatever optional details you choose to add, such as how to call you, where your passport is from, which procedure brings you here and a few lines about your situation.
- From your browser, automatically: an IP address, a browser signature and a timestamp, written to the server’s security logs.
Keep passport scans and similar files out of the forms. If we need a document, we ask for it by email, at the moment it is needed.
The reasons
Replying to you, preparing the help you have asked for, and following up on it. Before you hire us, the basis is your own request for information; afterwards, the agreement between us. Security logs rest on our legitimate interest in protecting the site.
Who else gets to see it
The specialist partners who carry out the work you request, and the companies that host the site, deliver its email and protect it, each under confidentiality and data-protection commitments. Authorities see your details only when you file a procedure, or when a legal obligation requires it. Your data is never sold.
Keeping it, and for how long
A request that goes no further is erased within a reasonable time after our last message. A file we work on is kept while the work lasts, then only as long as accounting and limitation rules demand. Logs are short-lived.
Cookies
One technical session cookie, which shields the forms from abuse. Nothing for advertising.
Asking for a copy, a fix or a deletion
- A copy of what we hold about you, or its correction.
- Its erasure, or a pause on its use.
- To object to a use, or to receive the data in a format you can take elsewhere.
