Where it goes on Tenerife
On Calle La Marina in Santa Cruz, the Delegación’s Oficina de Extranjería includes the family-member card in the list its web page publishes. The card itself is a TIE, and the Santa Cruz police office lists TIE issue. Your appointment confirmation tells you which office expects you.
On Tenerife
On Tenerife the EX-19 file involves two addresses in Santa Cruz: the Oficina de Extranjería of the Delegación del Gobierno on Calle La Marina, whose page lists the family-member card, and the police office on Calle Ramón Pérez de Ayala, listed for TIE issue. Couples who live in the south should expect both trips to lead to the capital.
Questions on this topic
Can my partner take a job?
Yes, on a payroll or as autónomo: work is part of what this card allows.
Does the EU citizen have to register first?
In practice, yes: their registration certificate is part of the file, so complete it first or at the same time.
Is this also the route for family of Spanish citizens?
Not necessarily: relatives of Spanish nationals have their own procedure under the current regulations. Tell us your case and we check which applies.
